3. Activities

I. Brought the kids to National Science Centre (Pusat Sains Negara)

It took months of planning and preparation and a lot of fund-raising and they had finally pulled it off. They had to be careful to keep a close eye on the kids though.

II. Mural paintings

With their skills and artistic talents this was not much of a problem.

III. Collage making

It was a good thing they had a mind for fresh new ideas and the results were simply spectacular.

IV. Held a Charity Fair

They held a charity fair, where they had also donated their own and also others’ clothes and garments to the more needy inhabitants.

V. Held mini-games for the inhabitants (like dancing and karaoke)

It wasn’t easy for the KMB students at first as they weren’t anywhere used to teaching the special ones to dance. However, fortunately, they had quickly accustomed on how to teach them to do it.

4. Self-Reflections

“From the meetings and plannings made, I’ve suddenly realised that organising an activity in a large group requires everyone to come to a mutual understanding and to further smoothen out any edges that might occur, everyone should voice out their opinions. Other than that, cooperation and vigilance must also be priotised in order to avoid preventable mishaps.”

- Ahmad Izzudin Bin Mohamad Nor

II. Mathematical Tutorial Class

The KMB students helped to conduct a turorial class for the UPSR candidates in the school.

III. Mural Painting

KMB students’ creativity were put to the test when they had to paint a mural of their our own design. Luckily, it was terrific.

IV. Helped Out the School Library

They labelled and wrapped books so as to speed up the availability of the books for the students.

V. Relief Teacher Role

The students of KMB get to play the role of a teacher when the teacher for the class couldn’t make it at the time.

4. Self Reflection

“The students and teachers were very welcoming upon our first visit here. I enjoyed helping the teachers very much and I learnt that cooperation and planning is very helpful in getting things done quickly and effectively.”
