3. Activities

I. Briefing with the PDK Instructors/ Staffs

As most of the students of KMB are presumed to never have been to a PDK, they were welcomed and briefed on the various antics of these special people of the community in order to shed some light on it before they experience it first-hand.

II. Origami

The students taught the children how to fold origami. Some of which are the simple paper planes and boats.

III. Conducting Morning Exercises

They sang the national anthem and right afterwards conducted aerobic exercises. They sure were surprised that these special people can heed instructions well.

IV. Making Raya Cards

Either by helping the instructors or by teaching the OKUs, our KMB students have diligently volunteered to help them make Raya Cards.

V. Cleaned the PDK

Some of the students were given tasks such as cleaning the gardens and the PDK (indoors) itself. While they were cleaning, they learnt various things about the PDK and its surroundings.

4. Self-Reflection

“Punctuality is really important in dealing with work. I learnt that every single second is important and we have to make use of it. Other than that, I learnt that the trainees also know how to coordinate and synchronize their movements with the special ones during their aerobic exercises. The special ones know how to listen and obey instructions. In conclusion, we as the blessed ones must obey instructions as the OKUs do.”

V. Relief Teacher Role

The students of KMB get to play the role of a teacher when the teacher for the class couldn’t make it at the time.
